En Plein Air Paint-Off and Auction
Two Day Event:
Friday, May 17th and Saturday May 18th
Artist Check-In:
*Check-in will take place at our office. Address: 108 Raleigh Street
You will find out were you are painting then.
*Completed piece for judging must be turned in at the Fuquay-Varina Arts Center (123 E Vance St) by 4:30 PM on Saturday. Artists may paint more than one piece but must choose only one for judging. **Donations of additional pieces are gratefully accepted and will be used in a live auction during Dinner on Depot Street to benefit FVDA and support our mission for Downtown.
Artist Turn-In Painting:
Saturday, May 18th @ 4:30 PM (no later!)
*Bring your finished painting to the Ann's Diamond Center located at 201 S Main St.
Agenda:
4:30 PM – 5:30 PM: Painting will be judged
5:30 PM: Artist reception in the Fuquay-Varina Arts Center
6:00 PM: Public viewing of art
6:30 PM: Winners Announced; Public Auction begins on Depot Street

En Plein Air Paint-Off is an exciting free outdoor event, sponsored by Fuquay-Varina Downtown as a way to support artists in our area and bring public art to our streets. Join us and see all that downtown has to offer. Friday and Saturday afternoon, a contest of skills will challenge each artist to create an original oil or acrylic masterpiece of Fuquay-Varina Downtown’s historic landscape. On Saturday evening a public auction will be held where art enthusiasts will have a chance to take home one of these treasures that will become a collection for many generations to come.
